First Merchants Corporation Announces Strong First Quarter 2013 Earnings

First Merchants Corporation has reported first quarter 2013 earnings per share of $.38 compared to core earnings of $.25 during the same period in 2012. Reported earnings for the first quarter of 2012 totaled $.46 as the Corporation recorded a gain on its FDIC purchase of SCB Bank in Shelbyville, Indiana of $.21 per share.
